Woody Pyeatt is Assistant Manager of Operations
for A V Pro, Inc. where his responsibilities include systems design and project
management. Woody has extensive professional background in technical theatre with
a B.A. from Austin College and an M.F.A. from Texas Christian University. In addition
to positions with local and regional theatres in Georgia and West Virginia, Woody
served as Technical Director for Dallas' Theatre Three for two years. Later he
worked with Norcostco-Dallas for eighteen years: first as Technical Department
Manager, before being promoted to Operations Manager and, in 1997, to General
Manager. In addition to his technical talents, Woody
also has many directing and acting credits. He particularly enjoys Shakespeare
and has performed for both the Dallas and Fort Worth outdoor festivals. Along
with his wife Marilyn, he owned and operated the Powerhouse Players summer theatre
in Salida, Colorado for five years. He and Marilyn are
proud of their 30 plus years of marriage and their two sons, Nick and Nathaniel.
Recently they moved into "empty nest" status, if you don't count their
two cats, which Woody hopes will allow him more time for theatrical pursuits outside
the office. A native (west) Texan, Woody exhibits that obliging
attitude found so often in our great state. He enjoys helping others, whether
on the job or in volunteer activities like Habitat for Humanity and various church
events. He also loves historical trivia; feel free to ask him, for example, about
the history of the screw. |
